I am a whole man. Every day!
Everyday principles of manhood in a consistent world.
The world needs whole men more than ever right now. Men need to experience their whole selves. Many worldly and individual systems need rapid change and transformation. Every activist has a particular issue they are trying to solve and advocate for. Many men are pushed into honing their physical and financial as the entry point for transformation. Worthy causes but not complete enough to become a whole man.
We still exist in our bodies, spirits and faiths. All must be maintained. We are endurance animals so stick to what allows for that advantage to take shape. Maintenance and practice. Nourish your body with exercise and food then run far. Nourish your spirit with art and you’ll understand the world better and be mentally agile. Nourish your faiths with devotion and see no hurdles or blockades, only more runway laid before you.
What feels right is the balance. Our intuition will tell us when we need more or less. Practice consistency in addressing this trifecta, trinity or lucky number 3; and see your life flourish.
I am a whole man because I practice this everyday. Without art and faith silly little things are able to nudge my sense of meaning and self worth. With practice, I learn from those experiences and they will never impede me again.
As my nourishment and maintenance practices are well maintained. I remember that:
I am more than the injuries of the untrained body.
I am more than the dullness of life without art.
I am more than the negative thoughts that hold space in the absence of faiths.
I am a whole man.
I am persistent in my identity as a spirit with a body capable of getting stuff done.
I understand that sometimes people just need a hug,
an extra set of strong hands
or just need their ass whooped [out of love].
I am a whole man.
Cultivating a curious spirit and creative-scientific exploration practice.
Being a steward of knowledge.
I am a whole man.
I understand from whence I came that is where I will return.
My time is a gift, one to be regularly acknowledged and used effectively.
My presence here is evidence that all will turn out better than imagined. As the receiver of the gift of life, I open each second like a good chapter book that I cannot get enough of. Praying the author has a sequel or at least an enjoyable ending.
